His distinctive sound bridges jazz, classical, and contemporary grooves, offering a fresh voice on the modern music scene.</p> <p data-start="311" data-end="612">Originally from Moscow, Misha immigrated to the U.S. in 1981 and pursued jazz studies under pianist Kenny Barron, earning degrees from Rutgers and the Manhattan School of Music, where he received a full scholarship. Today, he is a sought-after performer, producer, and composer based in New York City.</p> <p data-start="614" data-end="889">Misha has served as pianist and musical director for vocal jazz icon <strong data-start="683" data-end="698">Mark Murphy</strong>, performing regularly at venues like Birdland, Iridium, and Dizzy’s Club, as well as on international stages. He has produced and arranged numerous albums, both as a leader and collaborator.</p> <p data-start="891" data-end="1278">His projects include <strong data-start="912" data-end="928">Trio Del Sol</strong> with guitarist Freddie Bryant and percussionist Gilad, praised for their melodic interplay, and <strong data-start="1025" data-end="1032">AYA</strong>, featuring his original compositions. His trio with Hans Glawischnig and Ari Hoenig explores the boundaries between jazz, classical, and urban grooves. Their debut album, <em data-start="1204" data-end="1227">Uncommon Circumstance</em>, blends classical melodicism with popular rhythms.</p> <p data-start="1280" data-end="1593" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">Beyond the stage, Misha composes for film and multimedia, with soundtrack credits including <em data-start="1372" data-end="1386">Chaos Theory</em>, <em data-start="1388" data-end="1407">Pretty Persuasion</em>, <em data-start="1409" data-end="1413">RX</em>, and <em data-start="1419" data-end="1427">Danika</em>.
