Acoustic PrimeTime, inspired by Denardo Coleman: a nimble, dynamic homage to Ornette, New Orleans polyphony, and M-Base. We Love Ornette! After a series of workshops with Coleman’s son and PrimeTime drummer Denardo, the goal was to build an acoustic version of PrimeTime. The resulting jumble is engaging, dynamic and nimble, not only a nod to Ornette, but to New Orleans polyphony and the inverted grooves of Steve Coleman’s M-Base.
