ShapeShifter Plus in Brooklyn, Brooklyn.
About
A concert by and for the community—celebrating music and art produced by the Food Coop Concert Series Committee of the Park Slope Food Coop. This concert brings together a diverse lineup of artists across four curated sets, blending folk, indie, and experimental sound worlds. From Adela Wagner’s intimate, genre-crossing storytelling and Siobahn Hotaling’s heartfelt songwriting to Marco Bolfelli’s stripped-down original set and the evocative chamber textures of Juliette + Emre, the evening unfolds as a journey through personal expression, cultural roots, and nuanced musical dialogue. SET 1 6:30 PM – 6:50 PM Performer: Adela Wagner Lineup: Adela Wagner — voice, guitar, banjo, instrumentalist About: Adela Wagner weaves close harmonies and echoes of formal vocal training into raw, intimate sound. They are a queer, interdisciplinary artist, multi-instrumentalist, community organizer, and sculptor, originally from the Czech Republic. Their musical sensibility was shaped through early training as a classical singer, immersed in opera and chamber music, and continues to be informed by roots in Czech folk traditions. With so many gifted and talented members, creating this series was a natural decision and a no-brainer. The baton of music and performance curation was passed on to Ludovica and Alexis by Beverly Grant—a great artist and long-time member since the inception of the Food Coop. Beverly is an artist, photographer, singer-songwriter, composer, and activist who has greatly contributed to our community. Jason Weiner and the membership staff have played a key role in bringing this event to life. We thank them for sharing the same joy and respect for the arts, which enriches all walks of life. Before the shutdown, this concert series was a crucial and pinnacle way of bringing us closer together as a community that truly cares about the world around us. Art, in every aspect of our human experience, is a life-healing force. Alexis Cuadrado and Ludovica Burtone are both professional musicians, composers, producers, and educators. They have expanded the vision of the curation to create a platform for freedom of expression for all. ShapeShifter Lab visionaries Fortuna Sung and Matthew Garrison have also become vital to our mission, generously providing us with their performance space across the street from the Food Coop. Annie Keating does the magic with social media and Ave Carrillo is helping the group to the production side of things the concert series. Instagram
