The Vince Lateano Trio hosts an open jam session on the last Sunday of every month, welcoming local jazz giants, stalwarts, new comers, and those just passing through. The Bird & Beckett Cultural Legacy Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization presents live music at least 4 times a week at Bird & Beckett Books & Records in San Francisco's Glen Park village: 2 blocks from the Glen Park BART station, Muni lines J, 23, 35, 36, 44, and 52, and on- and off-ramps for I-580. Greg Abate is an American jazz saxophonist, flutist, and composer known for his fiery bebop and hard-bop style. A Berklee-trained musician, he performed early in his career with Ray Charles and later with the Artie Shaw Orchestra under Dick Johnson.
